What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Adopted my cat when he was five from the humane society. The history of my cat is unknown. He was five when I adopted him. it has been five years. My vet said he is a healthy cat. He had some dental issues but that is common in most older cats. It took him time to adjust to me, trust me, and snuggle. But now he loves cuddles, meows when I come home after a long day, and is living his best life. He is seriously the best company. Before I adopted him I was skeptical about owning a cat. I had to figure out a couple of things once I adopted him.

He has his claws which I fully support. But he scratched any furniture that had soft material such as cloth. I replaced that furniture with fake leather furniture and he leaves it alone.

He used to rip a hole in the bottom of my box spring mattress, couch, and living room chair. He liked to crawl inside the furniture once he had a hole torn in the bottom of it. After I took him to the vet and realized he was having severe dental pain and had that fixed, he behaved much better. I also made some changes regarding furniture.

I got him some cat trees where he could hide and I bought a platform bed, which doesn’t require a box spring mattress. The other thing is he doesn’t like living with another cat even after being introduced properly. His entire personality changes if he has to share his human with another cat. Immediately after moving out on our own again he was back to his calm and loving self.

I just wanted to share this in case it helps someone else with their new kitty. Don’t assume all of the behavioral issues are the pets issues to change. Pet owners need to take accountability and make accommodations, too. The blanket in his picture was made by a volunteer when I adopted him. I was at the humane society today and the lady who greeted me and helped me was very nice and professional.

  2. We adopted our rescue dog from NHS. The staff was selective and thorough to ensure all parties were a good fit for each other. They took the time to make sure we understood the needs of our dog. We’re 3000% happy we took the chance. Additionally, they offer other classes to help facilitate how to be better pet owners, which just adds to how well NHS is as an organization.

  3. My 5 month old pit puppy is missing since March 10,2023. He’s a brindle. I’ve been coming in every other day to check that He’s not there. The staff there has been sooo comforting and supportive. If I haven’t lost hope yet, it’s because these lady’s have been pushing me forward to not give up and keep looking for him.
There’s many, many beautiful dogs for adoption. If you don’t have an animal, this is the place to get him or her.
If I could, I would own a place just like humane society and adopt them all.

  4. I adopted my bestest bud here! They were super helpful when I came, I’m a first time dog owner and they were very informative and supportive. I went through the process pretty quickly shortly after meeting my new found friend, which was appreciated. Their social media presence is also spectacular!

I adopted my dog when he was 2 years old, so his history is unknown. They just said that his previous owner abandoned him at a friends house and the friend surrendered him.

His report card wasn’t fully filled out (he was at the shelter for maybe a week) so I wasn’t too sure about what behavioral issues he may or may not have. I was told he had food aggression, but he lets me take away his food and bones without any qualms. He takes food from my hand so gently and has not shown any type of food aggression over the years. Maybe him being at the shelter just put him on edge?
He is reactive toward some dogs, but we’ve been working on that and he’s doing so great! On his report card it didn’t state how he did around other dogs, so I was curious how that would go. Just know if you’re adopting for the first it can be a lot of work and you have to be able to pour in time with your new furry friend! Be patient with them if they do have some issues, they’re trying their hardest.

  5. They don’t even deserve one star. They put down our family dog, didn’t even bother contacting us to let us know our dog was there. She had a microchip and collar with our information on. We weren’t even given the option to get our dog before they euthanized her. (We were out of state on vacation. We would have dropped everything to get our dog.) She was there less than 11 hours before they euthanized her. Never received any kind of apology from any staff. Completely heartless act and they were in the wrong 100%. Do not support this business. They euthanize animals wrongly frequently. There are countless cases against them. They don’t care about animals or humans. My mom was so distraught over what they did to our dog she fell, was seriously injured, and was in the hospital. And to top it all off, our dogs collar was lost. 👍 Great job guys. 👏 You act all superior and think you’re about the animals, but you’re not. Truly evil organization. Animals fall under property laws too. They did irreversible damage to our “property” and family. Their slogan should be “breaking hearts” not “healing hearts”.

Staff is very kind and gentle. And I love the little report cards they send home with you. I take my cat here and she doesn’t seem to mind. I do the catnip treats every other day.

I can’t say enough good things about this clinic. I recently move here from out of state and was unfamiliar with Omaha, traveling from Lincoln. I was running late (20min) and they were so kind to still see my baby girl and take their time with her. Her blood work had elevated kidney values and then ran more tests. Thankful to report all is good. They also educated me on diseases in this region to prevent which I was unfamiliar with, being from a very dry state. Receptionist, vet tech and veterinarian were amazing! Worth the 1 hour drive 100%.

My dog was viciously attacked by a pit bull and we rushed Taz to Banfield Pet Hospital…. The receptionist was the best! Thorough, sympathetic, knowledgeable, kind…. Every staff member was remarkably wonderful. My dog, was treated for puncture wounds on his back and stomach and we got to bring him home. He’s doing great! Banfield is excellent!!!

I’ve been taking my GSD here since he was a puppy. I don’t usually leave reviews but Ash deserves it. Today was the first time Ash groom him and she did an amazing job. I was very happy with the results he smell and look clean and she was very sweet. Definitely will be booking with her again. 5 stars for Ash.

My groomer Brianna does a great job on my dog Jack. I just love her, and Jack does too! He is very picky, but she always gets him cut perfect. I hope she never leaves. I can’t wait to start taking my new dog Ollie to her. Thank you Brianna. You get 5 thumbs up and 5 stars from Jack and me.

This pet smart is ussually fine. But today we had a problem getting a plecostomus. The girl that was supposed to help us. Wouldn’t get us the fish we wanted. And literally tried to get us a different fish. And then wouldn’t sell us the one we wanted. It has to be record for the smallest amount of power that’s gone to somebody’s head. Won’t be coming back here.

They always ask how our pets are doing. As being fur parents it’s refreshing to see people remember you and your babies, people are always easy to locate and help you find items. I always love seeing the animals available for adoption!

I had a great experience buying fish tanks. My wife had purchased one tank in another story & wanted to get to another at another store for the same price. The other store matched the price and we’re very professional about it. They take care of their two legged and their four-legged customers very well.
