  We bought a hoarder house that was a 9/10 on the rat infestation scale. The attic was absolutely packed with garbage and PILES of rat poop, pee, and carcasses. Every crevice, all through the insulation, and all over the wood.

  I did numerous quotes with other companies and not only was Hazpro the best price, but they did an incredible job making the house liveable. I’ve lived in my house for two years now and I have not seen a SINGLE piece of rat poop. That sounds funny, but since there were literally pounds upon pounds of rat poop throughout this entire house, I assumed I’d at least come across a few leftover pieces, especially in the attic.

  Nope!! The attic was once my most feared place in the house, and I’ve since had zero issues with going up there knowing it’s totally clean and safe. I should’ve written this review sooner but I kinda forgot with all the chaos at the time. I’m a very satisfied customer though and every time I go into the attic I think about how grateful I am!! 😅

  I hired Hazpro to remove asbestos from my house at the start of my kitchen renovation. Their communication was great throughout the process from assessment & fair quote (best of 3 quotes I got) right through to finish. They provided excellent protection to my family and pets and even sent me updates and photos of progress every day (the demo took 2 days). When the job was done everything was clean and washed down. I have recommended and would not hesitate to recommend Hazpro Environmental in the future!

  Hazpro is an amazing group. When we were getting quotes for the job they were one of the only companies to tell us what they can do rather than tell us what other companies cannot do. When they came to do the job they were courteous, clean, and ran on the timeline provided. We had Hazpro for a second job and they were much the same again. As a first time home owner they really took care of us – they took the time to explain everything and made sure we knew the processes. Would recommend to anyone and should we need to, would absolutely hire them again.

  I cannot praise this company enough for all the work they did for me. Every employee I encountered was friendly, respectful of myself and my home. They responded quickly after my initial call, and communicated clearly the procedures that would have to be taken to rid my attic of nasty mold. I had many visits and each time was called to let me know when they would arrived and always showed up on time. An unforeseen situation (not their fault or responsibility) came to light and they worked steady to make it right. I highly recommend this company.   Recently we had the pleasure of hiring Canadian Hazmat Environment Ltd. to come and abate most of our kitchen which was being fitted with new cabinets, floor etc.

  We had done our due diligence and had quotes from other companies and although they were all quite close in price the difference came down to how we were treated at the time of our estimate.

  They spent the time explaining the whole process so that there wouldn’t be any surprises and true to their word – there were NO surprises! This was a two and a half day job during which time they kept us apprised of what they found when they opened up the walls so we would be prepared for next steps.

  They were on time, polite and kept everything as clean as possible, from sealing off the room to covering carpets in the areas that they used to come and go.

  Would I hire this company again? You bet I would. As a matter of fact when we finish the kitchen we will have them back to do the bathroom.

  Canadian Haz-Mat did an abatement of drywall in our kitchen. They were very professional, worked very hard address any concerns I had, and also were reasonably priced. They took an extra step to save some new insulation we just put in the ceiling – we really appreciated that. There was a small issue with some floor damage but it was rectified right away. I would use them again. Their onsite team was also on-point and was very nice.

  I operate a design and manufacturing business, so my work often finds me in dealings with CEO’s as well as a plethora of small business owners. Lately, I’ve also found myself having dealings with multiple trades-people and trades-companies as I refurbish a 1959 house from top to bottom (and beyond). Canadian HAZ-MAT Environmental, its employees AND its owners, are by far some of the most professional, competent, compassionate and decent people I’ve ever dealt with, in ANY field. Dave and his team are exceptional at all that they do, and I would recommend them to both family and friends with 100% confidence. I think the best way to sum up my impressions of these amazing people is to say that they actually treat their customers as if WE were THEIR family or friends, and that quality is a rarity and a gift. One day, I mistakenly believed that a couple of workers had made a poor decision during their work on the house, and I became quite upset. The workers were upset too as in fact it DID appear they had indeed made a mistake. Dave showed up in 5 minutes, assessed the situation calmly and rapidly, and discovered that no mistake had been made at all…and he was right…and my apologies to him and his crew were graciously accepted without hesitation. Here’s the text I sent him that evening, as this also sums up my feelings about this company: “You’re just a great man, Dave, in our books. That wasn’t in question for even a fleeting moment today prior to your arrival, and not surprisingly, your excellent presence and demeanour shone through once again when you came by (within minutes!).
