- Reviews:This place was fairly nearby. It took about 5-10 minutes in moderate traffic. It was located in a small strip mall behind a Walgreens drug store. You will need precise directions to find it. The people who ran this place helpful and enthusiastic. Inside was spacious and well lit. The students in our group ranged in my estimation from 4-8 years old. There were about 10 in the group and divided in to two smaller groups. The small groups each had a teacher guided by the head director. The students learn to pay attention and do as they are told. They learn basic marital arts moves. There is a lot of positive reinforcement. We are now a blackbelt family!! They teach so many things from self defense, discipline, confidence and so much more. Max3 is consistently a positive environment where he is encouraged, praised and feels great about himself! Not only is he developing positive habits and attitudes, but he’s learning a new skill. He is progressing each week, but without the pressure for excellence that other extracurriculars can put on kids. This is a place where he never questions if he’s good enough. The instructors have been so amazing him and we are so thankful the kids have such great role models at this facility. - Reviews:My son and I started training at Port City Combat Sports in the beginning of 2021. I have nothing but great things to say about this gym. From my first training session I was welcomed by all. I received excellent technical training in every class I’ve attended. The atmosphere is friendly and very professional. Every class they learn something new and ways to improve upon things they already knew. The Coaches are amazing and strive to have a personal bond with each kid that steps on the mat. My family and I have been attending the school since February and we absolutely love it! The staff is friendly and do their best to make us feel welcome. The best part is while my boys are doing karate in their class, I’m able to get my workout in the kickboxing class! My boys have gained life skills, respect, and discipline oh such a short time. I’d recommend ATA Martial arts to anyone looking for a great place for your whole family to get fit and have fun!
We LOVE ATA! The whole family joined in January. Kick boxing is great for both me and my husband. Taekwondo is perfect for our child. I am so impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the professional atmosphere. I highly recommend ATA to all families in the Mobile area.
We started our son at ATA Hillcrest this past Fall and he has absolutely loved it. We could not ask for better instructors to help guide him in learning some positive behaviors and martial arts skills. We enjoyed the experience so much that my husband and I joined and started the adult kickboxing classes. It is a great way for us as a family to do something together and the ATA Family has been so welcoming and we love it there so much!
We love ATA! Our son looks forward to each and every class. The structured yet fun and exciting environment provides a great way of learning. Each and every staff member knows every kids name and helps them achieve their goals!
Our son started the Tiny Tiger classes October 2018 and I can honestly say this has been a great decision. Everyone is friendly and my son absolutely loves it. The instructors are amazing. We couldn’t ask for a better place to have our son learn!
