What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. My 8 year old and 5 year old daughters have been attending for a year. The coaches and owners are excellent. They are aware of each student’s needs and helps them feel accomplished. We went to trials of various martial arts gyms. Others were either not kid friendly or were too militant. My daughters have never been able to stick to one thing for this long. We are so happy we found this place.

  2. Best Jiu Jitsu & MMA gym in the world. Dayne is not only a WORLD CLASS Instructor, but the gym is well managed by Amy and the community there is 2nd to none. I love it there and I am forever grateful to Dayne and Amy for changing my life. Whether you are looking for a gym to help you be a combat athlete, trying to get in shape, learn a new skill, or learn self-defense, Agema Jiu Jitsu is the place to be. They really could be charging Double for the services they provide (I know this because they do in San Diego and other parts of the country) but they have great prices, better Instruction, and the best environment of any MMA/BJJ school in Utah.

Dayne is a black Belt Under Pedro Sauer, a living legend of Jiu Jitsu, but is also a very forward thinking, practical martial artist who is always learning the latest and greatest in Jiu Jitsu, MMA, & Self Defense. One of the best things I love about the gym is how humble and kind Dayne is. Many martial art schools have Instructors who boast 100x as much as Dayne, but have done 1000x less. Dayne is a real martial artist and teaches his students from a place of kindness.

  3. BEST GYM EVER: Agema is amazing. Instructor Dayne is a high level Black Belt, their MMA training is good, and they are only getting bigger and better! This place is great for anyone trying to get in shape, learn self defense, or compete at a high level.

The management is great. both Amy and Dayne are amazing at running the gym. They both are some of the sweetest and most caring people I’ve ever met. They genuinely care about the welfare of each student. Agema has such a good culture. That is not normal for many martial arts schools, but I’ve been super impressed. I can’t wait to take my daughter to their children’s jiu jitsu class when she’s older.

DO NOT HESITATE TO SIGN UP!!!

  4. Best gym in utah by far. Amazing staff. Very caring. Very professional. And they know what they are doing. Nothing negative to say about this gym. If you are debating signing up. You should’ve done it yesterday.

  5. My favorite place to train!! Dayne & Amy have created an incredibly special place where you can get both excellent instruction and respectful training partners. The atmosphere in this gym is awesome whether you are wanting to train more competitively or just want to go have some amazing rolls. Regardless of your motivations- you will learn something new and have fun!

I had an issue with the teacher and their business website. I first scheduled for a time on friday at 5:30 pm. Walked in and was told he only teaches young children at 4:30 pm and to come back Monday. It was the website that give me that time not me but we decided to come the following week after. The program states in the website you can start your child from 3 years old and on. We went to try out the place today and we told to leave because he cant teach our 3 year old and that he usually teaches 4 year old. . The children older and already with orange belts. If you’re going to do a beginner class, do it right! If you dont have the patience to teach 3 year old then dont have it on your sign and website!!!fix your website and make sure you have the time to teach new student. Not everyone will come in with previous knowledge. Very unprofessional and do not recommend for any parent trying to start their 3 year old.

I enrolled my 3 kids last month and one of them has autism and really shy ,this class is helping her a lot to feel more confidente and open to socialize. She seems to be the one enjoying more the classes and the instructor is really nice and the way he teaches helps them understand better the classes and meaning behind every move.
