  1. Fabulous, historic old house. Wonderful experience but felt very much like staying in a museum! I know it is important for the owners to preserve the historic element of the property but for a modern traveller rickety beds and antiquated a/c don’t cut it. The property could be made so much more comfortable with a couple of simple updates, without compromising it’s historic appeal. Nice location on a quiet street and walkable distance to the towns bars & restaurants. Simple breakfast provided, as was a warm welcome. However, the notice advising of a $200 fine for stains and breakages did put us on edge somewhat!

  2. We stayed at The Vrooman Mansion for the first time in late June. The Mansion itself and each of the rooms inside are beautifully preserved. There were detailed, high interest scrapbooks available with a great deal of information about the history of the home and the family that lived there for 105 years. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and served each morning at a time of our choosing. Pam and her staff were very friendly and accommodating. The extra touches such as round the clock snacks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks were much appreciated. We stayed in the Carl Vrooman Suite and found the private sitting room to be a very special and wonderful place to relax. We would definitely recommend a stay at The Vrooman Mansion and hope to stay again in the future.

  3. Our stay was perfect!. Vrooman mansion was charming and comfortable. They have managed to combine the preserved historic feel throughout the mansion and still add modern conveniences in the bathrooms so we had the best of the old and the new. We were in town for a funeral, which would have been a very sad trip, but the beautiful mansion and wonderfully supportive staff made it a memorable stay. They provided delicious appetizers and wine for our guests which were served in the lovely parlor. Rachel and Pam were both so helpful in making the arrangements. Everything ran so smoothly.
    The breakfasts were amazing! Delicious food served in an elegant setting. We met a couple who had driven down from Chicago because they had heard nothing but praise for this bed and breakfast. We agree! We returned to San Diego with fond memories of the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in!

  4. We loved the Vrooman Mansion ! Our stay started with a good tour of the house, then we saw our room, which was beautiful. The mansion is spacious, and interesting. Breakfast is included, and was delicious both days. It’s located close to many restaurants and shops.

  5. When we pulled up to walk into the mansion, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised! Pam was very hospitable and knowledgeable, and took the time to give us a nice tour of the place and provide some historical context as we went room to room. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we were pleased with our room (the Letitia Room), and we were told that the mansion was at full capacity, but we enjoyed a quiet evening together. Breakfast the next morning was superb, an excellent start to our day! The Vrooman staff that we met were very nice and helpful. I am definitely looking forward to coming back!

    This place is 100000% so worth every penny! The response time, the flexibility with check in. 5 stars is just not enough, will definitely want to go back again! Not only is it photo esq. but there is so many amazing restaurants near by and a lot of things such as grocers are all within 5 minutes of a drive. The hosts are so lovely as well 12/10 would recommend

    Stayed here a couple weeks ago. Love this house! The owners are very easy to work with. Every detail in the house is so well thought out. The game room is awesome. It is so much fun. This was our second time staying. Plan to check out the other game house the owners have.

    Absolutely amazing weekend at the Arcade House and Hot Tub! We spend the weekend here and hosted a gathering of with my 13 year old nephew and 5 of his friends on Friday night and my nieces and there 5 friends on Saturday. The house is amazing. Hot tub, unlimited games, pool, arcade games, corn hole, ping pong, great places for TikTok’s and photo ops! We used the grill for dinner & lunch, kitchen for breakfast and late night pizzas and Netflix for movies! Hammock, swing chairs, and the fire pit were amazing as well. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were great and even had an air mattress!

    Hosts were amazing! Extremely responsive, great communications, very friendly and overall great hosts. They left some snacks, sodas, water coffee pods and basic amenities (shampoo, conditioner, paper products, etc).

    Amazing experience, memories made and can’t wait to do it again!

    We seriously could not have had a more accommodating host/hostess!! We came for our daughter’s 14th birthday and arrive with a birthday banner as soon as we came in! Everything is better than expected! Super cute, clean and amenities offered for things you may have even forgot to bring! They covered all the bases! And if they had missed anything I wouldn’t complain because these hosts take pride in what they have and do! ❤️❤️❤️

    My wife and I and another couple stayed here for a weekend and we LOVED it. The owners put a lot of thought into making sure the house has everything you can want and more. We had a blast playing games and enjoying the space. Would recommend to anyone
