PAMA is an excellent studio on many fronts, and caters to many levels and age categories. From the fitness focused classes, to the wide variety of martial arts that are taught for all age ranges, there is something for everyone! The staff are all super supportive and encouraging. A very special place.

it was great experience to learn martial arts here. I only learned Jeet Kung Do, but I think Jeet Kung Do class is rare around here. The atmosphere during the lesson is good, both trailers and trainees are so kind and nice, so can have great time the person who never experienced martial arts before like me. If I was asked by someone to introduce martial arts class, I would definitely recommend here!

This is an excellent school to study Martial Arts at. Everyone I worked with was easy- going, kind, and knowledgeable- from Mike, to Max, to Denise. The classes are very intense and 60+ minutes long, but even as a beginner entering these challenges, I always felt supported by the instructors. I chose to focus primarily on Muay Thai at first, but then found myself hovering towards Jeet Kune Do as I got very interested in Bruce Lee and the history behind his technique. As a side note- JKD classes inspired me to watch the four Ip Man movies with Donnie Yen. Ip Man trained Bruce Lee in Wing Chun which Bruce Lee then took elements from to create Jeet Kune Do, so I thought that was a cool connection to explore further. I’m glad I did because now I’m very into Martial Arts cinema and Donnie Yen movies in general. Back to PAMA: They do offer both monthly and annual memberships. As a beginner, I decided to take the leap and go for the year. However, about 1/3 of the way through, life began to get in the way and I was unable to get myself out to classes. So I would definitely suggest being VERY committed to the craft and motivated to show up 2x a week if you are going to go with the 1-year membership. I ended up cancelling my membership in accordance with contract rules and Max was very helpful and understanding in that process. I do intend on returning on a monthly basis at some point in the future when I can properly dedicate myself again. That being said, I always had fun and got a great workout! If you want to sweat more than you ever have, take these classes. Classmates were always supportive and malleable partners to work with as well, which added to the positive environment. Definitely check out PAMA to try out a variety of great techniques and see what you enjoy most. Best of luck on your Martial Arts journey!

My daughter joined PAMA when she was in 3rd grade and continued until she was in 8th grade. Unfortunately, sports in high school do not afford her the time to continue, for now. There is always a piece of her that is still with PAMA. She grew up there in a manner of speaking. She learned how to communicate effectively, was provided leadership opportunities, learned that she can break glass ceilings, earned respect, and felt at home there. Sifu Mike and Max showed my daughter that she could do anything that a boy could do and sometimes even better. They would always tell the boys to watch out for her. She continues to be a force to reckon with because PAMA built up her confidence, tested her comfort zone and gave her lifelong skills of leadership, respect, and friendship. As a parent, I enjoyed observing classes and learned vicariously. I understand, through the history lessons told, the importance of the lineage of Bruce Lee. When I talk about it with other adults who have participated in martial arts, I can say that my daughter is 3rd generation trained by Bruce Lee. Those who understand know the importance of it. I am grateful for the opportunity she had at PAMA and can’t wait to see what she does next. She gets credit for doing the work, PAMA gets credit for providing the safe space and guidance. Thank you.

Super clean and the nicest people! The instructors meet you where you are at and break things down. As people advance so do the moves and instructions. You will have so much fun you will not even know you are working out.

Great place to train for all levels of experience! All the instructors are super knowledgeable and truly take the time to help you improve your game. The self defense they teach is so realistic but the best part is you don’t have to worry about getting injured. Everyone is super respectful and cool!

Such a well run, tight knit community with first class coaches and members. Grateful that I gave Jiu Jitsu a chance in 2022 and looking forward to training further in 2023!

Stopped by while in town on business, Charlie showed me his facility and invited me back when available. I took him up on his offer and recently took a class with Kieran, stayed for open mat. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. They are a great example of Balanced Studios and Gracie Jiu Jitsu. I’ll be back to train with the members at Budo very soon.
