If you are just beginning, this is a great place to start. You can progress to whatever level you desire. The journey can lead you to some great relationships and a new extended family.

  2. I’m down out of state, in Denver for a training. Stopped by this school to get a training session in. Everyone was super welcoming, laid back and respectful of someone new coming in! Got some great rolls in, and got to train some Judo as well. All around a great school!

  3. This gym is one of the most amazing and comfortable places I’ve ever trained at. It’s a great atmosphere no matter the rank you are you treated with respect and equal. If you are looking for a fun and enjoyable gym to spend your time but also get a great workout this is the gym for you.

  4. I’ve been coming here for 6 months and I have to say that ALL the coaches here are WORLD CLASS! They are approachable, patient, take the time to explain things simply, and don’t condescend because you’re new to the sport! The entire staff (especially Dora) is always so friendly! I always feel welcome when I’m here.

  5. After training martial arts in Denver for over a decade. High altitude is one of the most legit ones. All the coaches are super experienced and knowledgeable. It’s the man in the arena.
    Most of the other gyms rely on systems and marketing to keep the gym running. The owner will have it in automation (very unethical and the 2-3 amateur fighters they have are just for marketing purposes)
    High altitude has world class fighters. Can’t argue with statistics.
    I recommend anyone to try it out and see for themselves. The experience you’ll have is off the charts. The membership is actually super cheap for the value you’re getting out of it. Use the coaches as mentors too. Stay hard!

Extremely flexible schedule, which is a huge plus for those with busy lifestyles. Classes for beginners, kids, women, and for the more advanced Jiu Jitsu practitioners. Conducive setting for the everyday Joe or Jane as well as for those who want to compete. Great place to train for sport and self defense.

    I can’t say enough good things about this place! Professor’s Sean and Teri provide very thorough instruction, making sure to take time with each student from complete beginner to advanced, to ensure that they are understanding and applying the techniques properly. The culture and family dynamic that is fostered makes everyone feel welcome and valued. They are also very centered around safety awareness and making sure that everyone goes home healthy to train another day.

    When I contacted the gym I was told that I can get a free week trial so I came in for a Monday morning class. That morning I decided to sign up because I knew right away that it was a gym I wanted to call home. The gym has a welcoming environment and all the professors and coaches provide quality instruction. They offer morning, lunch-time, and evening classes which makes it easy to attend a class if you have a busy schedule. Without a doubt the best gym in Colorado. 10/10 recommend!

Professor Tony and his team have cultivated the perfect mix of a safe place for new comers to come train and learn the basics as well as a very friendly and competitive environment in the master cycle classes. The level of coaching is top notch and I think it speaks volumes about the culture of the gym that as a 1st day white belt you will have a highly regarded black belt teaching classes and engaging with all the students. Very happy to have the privilege to train here.

    Amazing gym with amazing people. Been training here for a few years now and staff and coaches are great. Allowed to train at your own pace while still given the support and attention from instructors to help you progress and get better. Well knowledgeable and always kind. I consider Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Aurora family not just a gym.

    Hands down Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Aurora is the place to go!! Professor Tony and the coaches at GJJA are amazing at what they do! They are very thorough in their teachings making sure techniques are understood to help build a strong foundation in jiu-jitsu. I’ve definitely learned jiu-jitsu is not a way of life, but, simply a part of life to understand self defense!

    By far the best Jiu Jitsu school I’ve ever been to. The women empowered program has really taught me the technical aspect of being able to defend myself against a bigger and stronger opponent on the streets. The coaches are also really awesome and helpful!

    Best gym in the Denver area, by a mile high. Everyone has been supportive, inspirational, and tremendously helpful in my BJJ journey. Coaches Tony and Tanya are amazing, and take the time to make sure you do things right. Unlike some gyms, the coaches here have real world and competition experience. I moved here 7 years ago and started training 6 years ago, and the folks I met here became my first friends and family in Aurora. 11/10 would recommend for any experience level from none to black.
