  1. Oh my goodness. I was in heaven. The hostess was awesome. Waitress Nora was a super star. The food was excellent and will make your tongue slap your brains. Seasoned to perfection. Of course I had to bring my gumbo back to Texas because it was so much food. I told my hubby the next time we travel this will definitely will be our stop. I’m sold out to this restaurant where there’s great atmosphere and the scenery is so soothing while eating.

  2. This was my first visit to the new location and I was not disappointed. The staff were attentive and quick to respond. After ordering, there was a short wait and my food was hot and very well seasoned. I have no complaints and look forward to my next visit.

  3. We’ve been 3 times in just as many weeks. We try and find local cuisine anywhere we go. This place is hands down the best food we’ve had while in town. Look forward to many more trips and bringing more family and friends here as they visit. Swamp water is a great drink to kick things off as well as the zydeco shrimp!

  4. This place was amazing!! It has a very family friendly atmosphere. The staff were great and very kind. The food was out of this world. We got the shrimp and grits, gumbeaux, and Mac and cheese. Everything was very delicious. I highly recommend making reservations though. We went on a Friday night about 5:30 and as a party of two. The wait was 45 minutes but we didn’t mind since we could enjoy the lake and scenery while we waited.

  5. Nice local favorite restaurant with lots of seafood. Seafood gumbo with corn bread is absolutely delicious. Wait times is down fall. Don’t venture there on weekend unless you got time to spare. Get there around 3 o’clock for 5 o’clock seating. Yes it average roughly 2 hours to get seated. Unless it is week day we walked right in to a seat. That was getting there at 4:15. Kids stated food wasn’t good enough to wait that long.. They really need to expand the restaurant. There is not enough seating for demand of restaurant. Waitress look like they only use one cash register. Another down fall took 30 minutes to check out..OVERALL a B+. Will go back!

The food was delicious! The beignets were the best. The only reason I gave this place a 4 star is the service. Your name is called over a speaker when your order is ready. I thought they called my name so many times. Weird there were so many J names on this day. The first time I went to the counter,, the server told me that I was up next, but then they called at least 3-4 names after that. I probably wouldn’t have thought they were calling my name had they not told me that I was next. By the time I went to the counter for the 3rd time thinking they called my name, there was a hint of an attitude. Strangely enough previous reviews raved over the service, but not the case with my service. If I were to eat here again, it would definitely be a to go order.

Went for Sunday brunch, fast service and very friendly staff. The drinks were good, my wife and I had mimosa’s. My food was fantastic and my wife enjoyed hers. I had never had beignets before and was not disappointed with them.

Great food and atmosphere. Best brunch spot around for sure. Friendly staff to where it almost feels like family when you are there. Don’t let the exterior fool you, clean inside as well as the restrooms. Parking is a little tight but not much of a problem as there are two sides to park on. Inside and outside seating. They also serve popular brunch cocktails along with their own signature cocktails. Definitely a place to stop by to enjoy.

I LOVEEE this restaurant. We have been here twice since moving from Texas and Marilynn has taken care of us each time. And we picked different food and it’s still amazing. My baby girl loves the desserts the beignets and New Orleans bread pudding.

I got the chance to ask the chef what she wanted to make. I told her I eat everything and just suprise me. And oh boy was it good. I don’t think what she made was on the menu, but it was like a Shrimp Etufee with a creamy sauce and a little spicy. It was great.

We were traveling through Shreveport and found this little gem. Very clean , fast seating, kid friendly, and delicious food! The bacon was very good and all the food was flavorful! The mimosas were strong (just how I like) and they even have mimosas to go in a cute little pouch! All in all a great family or friends brunch place, with great attentive staff and management. Recommend 10/10 😊

Where other than Louisiana can you go to a breakfast diner with a full bar? We opted out of booze for breakfast (although it was tempting) and instead had some of their excellent coffee. Madison was an excellent server and helped me finally decide on the Bourbon Street Waffle, which was absolutely decadent. My husband got the Southwest Scrambler, which was equally delicious on the savory spectrum, lots of flavor, not too spicy. This is a unique little place that you should definitely give a try if you find yourself looking for brunch in Shreveport. It’s a far cry from the run-of-the-mill.

What a phenomenal find! My daughter and I traveled to Shreveport for an event at the arena and have so far had breakfast at this location both days. Everything we tried on the menu has been absolutely delicious! All the staff including the hostess, Kat, the manager, Elizabeth, and multiple servers have delivered first class service. We have another day of vacation and we intend to visit this place again to try yet another dish. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who appreciates quality gourmet food and exceptional service. The dishes we have tried so far are the piccata Benedict, the ham and cheese Benedict, lemon custard French toast, and a cookie dough waffle. Their iced cold brew also did not disappoint.

This is our first visit at this location in Shreveport. We’ve been to the one in Austin and Charleston. This location must be new and still working on seating tables and getting food out. The food was good. Waitress was a mess. We love collecting the mugs. Hopefully, this location will work out the service bugs.

Large portions. It’s not my “go to” because it’s usually pretty crowded. The food is made fresh and the staff was nice. There is a bar for mimosas and spiked coffee if that’s what you’re looking for. Had the apple fritter French toast. Good flavor, very sweet.
