What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I often have breakfast here, always good. Staff is friendly, service is fast, very nice clean place to dine. Having the Uncle Ron’s Skillet today. Looks and tastes delicious. Large serving, loaded with meat and cheese, I would have it again, definitely.

  2. Outstanding breakfast. With a plethora of options to choose from. The food is amazing and comes in great portions. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing in the same go, with the staff being incredibly friendly and attentive. The French toast was fantastic, as were the pancakes. Definitely the place to stop by multiple times on your visit or stay. Incredibly affordable as well, for three people the bill was only $50.

  3. If you’re looking for a wonderful breakfast/brunch, look no further! We enjoyed Uncle Ron’s Skillet, The Westsider, and Turner Eggs Benedict. The portions are large and the staff is great! We received excellent service thanks to Janice! Definitely a place we will return to.

  4. Best breakfast I’ve ever had. I got a veggie omelette that tasted super fresh and cooked perfectly. My friends and I split a pan fried cinnamon roll and I didn’t know there was a way of possibly making a cinnamon roll better but they sure did it. They also had lots of vegan options, which you don’t always see at a breakfast place. Definitely give them a try!

  5. Eggs and bacon good.
    Hazelnut coffee tasty.
    Skillet heaven sent.

This. Place. Was. Amazing. I went with a group of coworkers and it was my first time out in Grand Rapids. The hazelnut coffee was suggested to me and I was skeptical because hazelnut coffee usually isn’t my go-to however it was delicious. Then the food came and the skillet was plentiful with eggs, mushrooms and bacon. From the moment I walked in we were greeted and our server Jordan was EXCELLENT. 5 outta 5. It was so good I had to write a haiku.

What a fantastic meal we had! They were able to not only accommodate vegetarian, vegan and gluten free, the taste was incredible. Excellent service by Derek who knew the menu very well. It is a little loud, but we were seated upstairs away from the chaos of downstairs. The flavor of the artichokes was especially delightful (pictured below).

Great experience for breakfast at San Chez. There’s a wide variety of options for breakfast, and you can still order off the main menu if breakfast isn’t what you’re into. The chicken and waffle with hollandaise is really unique and delicious. The food takes awhile to come out, but the quality is top notch so it is well worth the wait!

Easily my number 1 breakfast spot in GR after just one visit. The food was exceptional and the decor is classy and inviting. Our waitress Jess was just fantastic. Definitely will be coming back here to try the tapas.

I loved the vibe of the place. It’s a Spanish cuisine. I went with a group of 7 and we were able to order different appetizers and plates for all of us to share and we were able to also divide the bill equally among all of us. The waiter was super helpful, patient and kind with the whole group. They have gluten-free, vegetarian options. The had a good playlist on mixed with Spanish songs too.

Quick lunch on the way to the airport, place was not busy and staff were very pleasant and showed good service awareness. Interesting and unique menu with brunch offerings on one side and tapas on the other. Paellas were not available, but that was appropriate as that is not a quick meal. Although I really wanted to try several of the tapas offerings, that would have been better with a party of 4+ instead of just us two, so we both went for the brunch side of the menu. My colleague enjoyed his egg scramble served in a small cast iron pan, and I had a savory Breakfast Hash dish with chorizo, bacon and avocado that was absolutely scrumptious. I matched with a stout from Old Holland brewery called Dragon’s Milk that was a superb accompaniment. The only complaint was that they only served toast, when corn tortillas would have been more complimentary, but that was made up for by the delicious house made jam that came with the multi grain bread. Highly recommend San Chez Bistro! Hope to come back soon with a bigger party and much more time to sample their awesome cocktail list and many tapas dishes.

Celebrated my birthday with family and it was a great evening. We’ve been here before and have had very good meals in the past. Tonight was no different. Food was delicious and the service and atmosphere top notch I would highly recommend for a special occasion or date night.

First time visiting Michigan and this restaurant. Had an amazing experience. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Excellent service from the staff all around. Food was great. Portion size was the right amount where the appetizers didn’t fill you up before your meal and the main course was plenty to enjoy. Food nicely seasoned and full of flavor. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing place to enjoy drinks and a great meal.

Great happy hour specials from 3 to 5 PM. Deep discounts. It’s still a little pricey, but the special makes it well worth it. If you are low carb, try a pasta and substitute broccoli for noodles. Our waitress was friendly, the atmosphere was clean, and the food was fantastic.

Bistro Bella Vita is located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. This restaurant has an upscale type atmosphere with a modest price for what could be considered fine dining. The food was big on flavor using savory spices and seasonings. I enjoyed the Poulet De Provence, which consisted of a half rotisserie roasted chicken breast & leg, brown butter mashed potato, seasonal vegetables and chicken jus. I also had their half Ceaser salad. The service was excellent. I totally enjoyed my entire experience at this restaurant.

If you are looking for quality food and service this is the place to go. They have daily specials aside from the main menu. Service was top notch and plating was a work of art. Eating here is a bit expensive but but the quality is high. It gets busy on the weekends so be sure to get reservations.
