What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Outstanding community as we have my wife’s parents staying here. The staff here is wonderful and all the amenities that you could ever have for your loved ones is right here.

Gorgeous views with a restaraunt that serves outstanding food. The grounds are always very well maintained and the security is top notch. This is definitely a place I wish more average hard working retired people could afford.

I would recommend to any body if you have parents to look into this place.

  2. Horrible experience with my mother being sent there for rehab. They are a for profit establishment; privately owned. They neglected her after surgery…. 17 days and no stitches removed for a hip operation. No shower for weeks and this definitely was not because she refused a shower. I complained and it always fell on deaf ears . They ignored my requests for a doctor’s appraisal of her condition over and over. I spent 5 hrs a day there with my mom and finally after 4 weeks post surgery Doctor Christie Cambal who was assigned to her came in at 5:30 pm and told her she didn’t look good. NO CARE AT ALL!!! She was left in the bathroom for 45 min even after the emergency button was pushed. There was NEVER any communication! Be very alerted to the fact that this facility ignores your loved ones.

  3. I find the ineptitude, lack of accountability, and discourtesy on the part of management at Spring Lake Village to be appalling and quite concerning.

While under the oversight of the Episcopal Church, Spring Lake Village was a wonderful place. I had hoped to live at SLV myself, one day! Since becoming corporately owned and operated some years ago, however, it has BADLY degraded on a number of levels.

It’s mainly about profit now, not about care for the elderly. Lower wages for workers, increased salaries for management and higher-ups, poor stewardship of financial resources (wasteful spending etc.), raised fees, and a general lack of integrity and responsibility have turned what was once a great place for older people into just another run-of-the-mill money-making enterprise.

Although Spring Lake Village is now a mediocre establishment by most measures, it’s not just the mediocrity that bothers me:

During the 2017 fires that swept Santa Rosa, Spring Lake Village couldn’t locate my parent – even though my loved one was at home on Spring Lake Village property the entire time – the last to be accounted for when evacuations threatened. Unbelievable.

After recovering from a recent stay at a local hospital, Spring Lake Village didn’t seem to want to take my loved one back, despite SLV’s contractual obligation to do so. Once I reminded Spring Lake Village of this legal requirement, they finally relented – but that’s what it took.

My mother has generally received adequate care at SLV, but has given reports on multiple occasions of being subjected to unkind treatment at Spring Lake Village after objecting to low quality service (I’m often told: “Please don’t complain to anyone … they’ll just take it out on me.”)

While most workers and servers at SLV generally do a good job, dealing with management can be an off-putting experience, very unpleasant, even a nightmare. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing, but neither hand can be counted on to keep it’s word and do what it says it will do. “Pass the buck” is what I’ve gotten, repeatedly, instead of a simple apologetic admission that Spring Lake Village messed up and will try to do better in the future.

Note: The current executive director, Jeanie, is responsive and responsible, and hopefully can turn SLV around.

Nevertheless, incompetent members of the administration at SLV continue to turn routine interactions into unnecessary trials and tribulations for residents and their families. Therefore, my recommendation below still holds – for the time being, at least.

Do NOT send your parent or loved one to Spring Lake Village. In my experience, Spring Lake Village has gone from bad to worse in recent years, and is showing little concern for much needed improvement.

I strongly suggest you seek elder care elsewhere.

Went for a tour today. Found it to be very nice. Grounds are beautiful and the apartments are very spacious. Found the perfect one for my Mother. There is so many activities offered it would be hard to pick what to do. Everyone there seemed happy and we can’t wait to see Mom thrive there.

I would not hesitate to share my memorable experience at Solstice Senior Living at Santa Rosa. Compared to six or more sites I have toured, Solstice remains the most inviting— immediately. I felt “at home” from the moment I entered the front door, throughout the touring and talking about expectations, and to the point of my exit to return to my current residence. Management, staff, a few residents (I was happy to meet), the condition (interior and exterior), the lunch service, and the location of the building were nothing less than inviting and relaxing. Steven and Paul went beyond usual efforts to show me that I surely would be “at home” if I moved to Solstice. They are genuine, honest, and considerate sales persons, and their human relations dispositions are outstanding. If my current indebtedness had not been a hindrance, I would be writing this feedback from my unit at Solstice in Santa Rosa. If you are looking for a retirement home for yourself or a love one, I highly recommend Solstice Senior Living at Santa Rosa.

For a senior living facility, this place is top notch. The price point is excellent and the resident care is great. They are in a beautiful area overlooking Santa Rosa. It’s peaceful and serene. They also have a fabulous dining area where meals are carefully planned and balanced as well as delicious.

Both staff and residents are very friendly. The building is a pleasant place, with open, Italianate architecture. The food is good. There are many activities. They allow pets.

My mom is 90 and fiercely independent. She was treated like visiting royalty on our tour and she is very impressed with both the services and the heart of Solatice.

I have been a tenant at the Terracina Santa Rosa Apartment Homes for the past 9 1/2 yrs. Getting a home here and my experiences over the years with the Community owner’s and Management teams has been a really great experience. I’ve felt really fortunate to have home within a community that is friendly, offers clean, apartments and living spaces and shows through pride of ownership and management that these homes are more than just Affordable housing the people behind the scenes show they care about the surroundings they provide for their tenants! Thanks Terracina Santa Rosa! Brenda.

#1 Andy is a model Maintenance Technician, He knows his stuff and gets it done with little if any mess or intrusion. #2 Valerie is the STAR! The yards sale she started with us was and is a HUGE success. She works hard on behalf of ALL Terracina Resident’s. Find a better way to accommodate Disabled Resident’s when the Medically or Mentally need to change their apartment for valid reasons. Thanks Terracina we commend all you this time. This housing opportunity is SO IMPORTANT AND VERY VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!!! BRENDA 🤭🤗☺️

This is a great place to live! Admittedly, hard to get in, Management has a “Safe and Sane” approach to rules, and you will not have to tolerate noise or nonsense. Kudos to on-site Manager “Danny” – Heroic in a kitchen fire, directing the firemen, evacuating residents, running like the wind! When the fire was out, calmly reassuring all the neighbors, gentle, kind words to frightened people. Valerie and Danny are always kind, terrific and on top of things!

Valerie has been wonderful to both me and my daughter. We are happy to be here. And if something is needed in repairs Danny repairs it right away. And we were able to keep our dogs who are very happy here too

I love where I live. I recently had a maint issue and texted to the Manager. She had some one in within 2 hours of my request. Ive been a resident almost 15 years and most of that time has been with my current manger. A great place to live and work
