I’ve seen many staff come and go, but the moment Rudy leaves, this place will be hard pressed to find someone as well versed in all the maintenance needs it takes to run a property like this. Neighbors routinely place trash haphazardly, too lazy to use the trash chute. This seems like a fire code violation. It’s definitely not safe, brings bugs and flies into the living area, is gross to look at, and requires you to zigzag over other people’s trash to responsibly dispose of your own.
People and their pets routinely forget to clean up after relieving themselves in the elevators.
The doors from the parking garage to the building entrance on any random floor are routinely broken and not secured. Some of this could be fixed if management spent money and placed cameras in the elevators, etc.
A huge amount of illegal AirBnb listings here that bring an unsafe element into the building at any given time. Management says they are working on this, but at the time of this writing I can see a listing by “super host Matt” on the 4th floor with 100+ reviews.
Linda M the leasing agent was so kind and detail. She took time on my tour and with explanation of application process was amazing. She took the time to explain and inform of all previous and upcoming changes and walked through the potential apartments to choose from. My personal experience I have never receive such spectacular customer service until I meet her. She was forward and genuinely honest. I can’t wait to continue to work with her soon.
55 West is a high-rise apartment building located in downtown Orlando just across the street from the Amway Center. The neighborhood is friendly and upbeat and has recovered nicely from COVID-19.
When leasing, Linda Miranda was very professional and detailed in explaining how they have overcame some of the issues that past reviewers have mentioned (homeless in the halls, noise, safety, downtown issues, etc.) A lot of the reviews say that Linda is the sole reason the building has turned around and I absolutely agree. I’ve been a resident for three months and an pleased to say that 55 West has been true and sincere to their word. All the turn around efforts Linda mentioned were accurate and true once becoming a resident. I’ve noticed no problems with security breaches or ruckus in the building.
Highlights (Building)
-Management office: absolutely great and they helped me understand all the charges and any concerns.
– Security: goes above and beyond accepting packages and deliveries. In addition, they are always roaming around the building and I feel very safe here.
– Workout room: Great with like new equipment
– Renovations: Some floors are getting new paint and flooring
– Great workout room with new equipment
– Great outdoor area w/ Pool
– Quiet and well-insulated
– Friendly residents
Highlights (Apartment)
– Apartment has a bath instead of shower which is great for creating a spa like experience and relaxing.
– I have one of the apartments facing the train tracks and it is not as bad as some reviewers mention. The building does not shake and the noise is minimal.
– Wood floors with lots of space
– Large closet and washer and drier
Highlights (Neighborhood)
– This building is right in the center of downtown in very close proximity to Amway Center.
Also close to really good Italian and Mexican restaurants. The train station is also right next door.
If you are looking for a great place to live in the center of the city I would strongly suggest talking to Linda and checking out 55 West.
The application process was easy and straight forward. Jacob was a huge help and was very responsive from the touring process until approval. I work remotely and was only able to communicate via email and phone, but this didn’t impact my experience as all my questions were promptly answered. If you like the building and area, I highly recommend.
Linda is an amazing leasing agent and will walk you through everything as well as answer all your questions. The property is being renovated under this new management and looks great, feels safe and luxurious. Centric location and beautiful spacious units, hard to beat even after touring over 5 other buildings.
